Technology project
My critical friends and I have been brainstorming about using claymation for a shared project. We will each work with students in our schools and share our work through podcasts and jabber. The details of how the work will be produced still needs to be discussed but this is the general theme.
Sculpture Night
In September I hosted a Chihuly Sculpture night at my school. The project was based around the idea of recycling for art. My entire school saved water bottles for a month and my students painted and cut them. I hit them with a heat gun to get them to curl. I had them in bins so parents and children could create Chihuly inspired chandeliers. They just stuck the water bottle into some wrapped chicken wire.
New School Year
I am excited for the new school year and all of the exciting changes. I just moved up from the emulate track to the embrace and hope to integrate more technology with my students in art. I acquired some old white bubble G4 imacs for my classroom. I plan to teach my 4th and 5th grade students to do claymation with an old version of imovie.Check out my website at:
