Lesson/ Activity:

1. Show students the animated classic film on Harriet Tubman:Animated Classic

2. Discuss why Harriet Tubman is an American hero

Wrap Up: students share their illustrations, writings and time lines with in a small group.

Daily Assessment: Students write a paragraph about Harriet Tubman including main idea, three details, illustrations
