Mrs. Rogers Class

Kindergarten is a pivotal year for all

children to develop a strong and solid

foundation in reading, writing, and math

skills. Additionally, I am a firm believer

in forming a home to school connection.

Studies show that parental involvement

in a child’s education is one of the

strongest indicators of student achievement.

I look forward to working together to make

your child’s kindergarten venture the

best ever!

Classroom Rules...

1.Follow directions the first time given.

2.Be kind and caring to everyone.

3.Keep hands, feet, and all other objects to yourself.

4.Abide by the dress code.

Please read the agenda and discuss notes that are written EVERYDAY!!! It is absolutely VITAL that children understand that the teacher and the parents are on the same page and staying consistent.

Behavior relates to academics. If time is being wasted on relearning rules everyday this time is being lost that could be instructional. We have a 4-3-2-1 grading system.

Please devise a consistent consequence plan at home after reviewing your child’s agenda notes.

Positive notes should receive positive praise from both the teacher and parent and negative notes should have negative consequences.

Please communicate goals your child is striving for at home (sleepover with friends, playing video games, Chuckie Cheese, football practice, special toy, etc.) This way I can remind them throughout the day if behavior needs to be modified.
