About the Teacher...
I am originally from New York and have been teaching grades K-3 for 12 years. From the time I began teaching I realized that children needed a new and creative way of learning. I developed my teaching philosophy of "LEARNING THROUGH LAUGHTER." I feel that children growing up in today's society have too many pressures to deal with. School should be a safe and fun place for children to spend their day. I continue to develop teaching strategies that will help reduce some of their stress. I look forward to a wonderful year and promise that in my classroom, "LEARNING WILL BE FUN!"
A Note from the Teacher...
Dear Students-
I love coming to school every day and have fun learning with you. You are working so hard and learning so much every day! Keep up the amazing work!

Behavior-
Plumosa Promise...
1)Follow Directions the first time given.
2)Be Kind and Caring to everyone.
3)Keep your hands, feet, and all other objects to yourself.
4)Abide by the dress code.
Please read the agenda and discuss notes that are written EVERYDAY!!! It is absolutely VITAL that children understand that the teacher and the parents are on the same page and staying consistent.
Behavior relates to academics. If time is being wasted on relearning rules everyday this time is being lost that could be instructional.
Please devise a consistent consequence plan at home after reviewing your child’s agenda notes.
Positive notes should receive positive praise from both the teacher and parent and negative notes should have negative consequences.
Please communicate goals your child is striving for at home (sleepover with friends, Trip to Boomers, Chuckie Cheese, football practice, special toy, etc.) This way I can remind them throughout the day if behavior needs to be modified.
