Hi Girtona, We are working on an ESE section with our ESE department. If you click the blog at the top of this page, the most recent post was about apps for ESE teachers. In addition, we have an ESE section on the Middle and High School App Lists.
Thanks again!

One wonderful new book app series my school is using in the classroom is called "Millie Was Here." Not only does it offer a read-along mode for beginning readers, but it also has lots of very intuitive interactivity which helps develop younger children's motor skills. The entire premise of the book teaches kids to use their imaginations. We originally introduced classes to the first book (which is free!!), called "Meet Millie." It was such a hit with the kids that we, got the second book, "Millie & The Lost Key" as well. We've found that it encourages even our most reluctant readers to read!

A new education game for the iPhone and iPad was recently released called "Story Wheel". It is an interactive game that helps kids build their imagination as they create new stories. Players spin the story wheel and land on an image, they then have 30 seconds to record a portion of a story that is built upon by the other players. At the end of the game, you can play back your story while you enjoy the beautifully animated images.
Best of all, it is free and available on the app store.

Hi Jenni. We are unsure of the cost of the cost because the cost changes too often on the App store. In addition, each app is not installed on all of our costs. This was just a comprehensive list.
