    App Committee

    We recommend that each school that has multiple iPads form an App committee to determine which Apps will be purchased for your devices. We recommend this committee include the ASVPP facilitators, grade level or department chairs, a school administrator, and the media specialist (if you have one at your site). A simple Google Form can be created for teachers to submit App requests. You can use this form as a guide when creating your App Request form. (Thank you Elizabeth at Glades Central HS for sharing!) For additional help creating a Google Form, click here.

    Prior to the committee meeting, the ASVPP Facilitator should purchase ONE license of the App and install it on one iPad. The Facilitator should test the App to determine if it will work properly in our network. If it works properly, feel free to purchase more licenses (possibly one licence for everyone on the committee) to evaluate the App and determine if it is appropriate for the classroom. If the App is appropriate, then the ASVPP Facilitator can purchase enough licenses to cover the proper number of devices (remember one license per device).

    Gift Cards

    All App purchases must go through the ASVPP Program Portal. No gift cards should be purchased or redeemed on any master iTunes Library accounts. If anyone wants to donate to purchase Apps, they should donate cash so the bookkeeper can purchase a ASVPP Voucher.

    Vouchers


    Once your ASVPP account has been created by your ASVPP facilitator, you may purchase vouchers by having your bookkeeper create a purchase order at this location. Please click the App Store Volume Purchase on the right panel, and select the amount of money you would like to purchase a voucher for. On the next page, it allows you to select a quantity. Vouchers come in denominations of $100, $500, $1000, $5000 and $10,000. If you would like a $300 voucher, select the $100 voucher and change the quantity to 3. Be aware that the vouchers are sent to you via FedEx and may take some time to arrive.

    Paid Apps

    When you purchase Apps via the ASVPP you get codes for every App you buy. The App codes are then shared - email, verbally, etc- with your sites ASVPP Facilitator who will be downloading the Apps to the Master iTunes Library(s) on the Macbook that will be used to Sync the iPads. The ASVPP Portal is located at https://volume.itunes.apple.com/us/store/

    Free Apps

    Free apps cannot be purchased using the ASVPP portal. To purchase free apps, your ASVPP Facilitator may launch iTunes and buy them directly in the store on the master sync computer. A receipt will be emailed to the master iTunes Account email (ex. schoolnamemedia@palmbeachschools.org)
